Common data warehouses for the whole company avoid the lack of communication between departments and facilitate the management of managers.
Client: a real estate company
Need: To homogenize the different data handled by the company's departments.
Previous situation: Most of the information was in a specific management program for real estate companies, but there were also several Access databases and many Excel sheets handled by the different departments. There was a lot of duplicated information and, worst of all, discordant.
Implementation: All the data that was scattered throughout the organization was grouped together. Once the data model and database were created in Oracle, the company's processes had to be modified to use the data from this common repository. Oracle Warehouse Builder was used in this project.
Cost: 300 man days + licenses
